Open Message Mail Script

Hi,
In Eudora it is possible to specify that the program opens all new messages. Is there a script for mail that can do the same?

Thanks

Thomas

P.S.: please also e-mail me the answer

Re: Mail Scripts

Thanks for the scripts. They are just what I was looking for!

I wanted to let you know that under Panther (10.3) you can easily add keyboard shortcuts to the scripts. All you need to do is rename them with a special extention. For example, to bind the save-to-mailbox script to control-s you could rename it:

original name: “Save To Mailbox….scpt”
new name: “Save To Mailbox…___ctl-s.scpt”

Just copy the script into the ~/Library/Scripts/Mail Scripts/ directory and it should just work.

Re: Mail Scripts

I would like to be able to write assignments for my students as e-mails and SCHEDULE them for delivery at specified dates/times. As I recall, this was/is a feature in Eudora, but I really would like to stay with Mail. At MacWorld, two different Apple folks said it “should” be able to be accomplished with an AppleScript (which I have never learned).

A solution to this would really thrill my kids. Well, it will thrill me anyway.

Thanks in advance.
